A fluent Dutch speaker, she brings unique insights and proven experience of successful business development within the Benelux region. Iain was awarded a MBA in 2006, with a focus on market entry, strategy formulation & internationtalisation for software companies. Experience in a variety of areas including Fixed income, Investment Banking, Mortgage Lending, Securitisation, Retail Banking (both front and back office) and various areas in the Insurance sector. Worked for large Offshore Outsource providers as well as small innovative software companies.
Mike has more than 20 years of Product Management and Business Development experience in Financial Services. Working for suppliers of IT solutions to financial services over the last 20 years, Mike has been involved with helping Financial Institutions prepare for and cope with some of the most important developments to hit the industry.
Jaap has held senior positions within the ING Group for nearly 34 years. Most recently he was global Head of Shared Service and has in-depth expertise in the areas of application management, outsourcing and large transformation projects as well extensive experience in managing migration programmes. Jaap has been a strategic advisor with Strategic Market Access since March 2008 and brings unique, in-depth understanding of the financial services arena to the team. Jaap also supports a variety of Dutch organisations and financial institutions providing strategic advisory services. He sits on the Board of OneLinQ BV and works directly with SMA on specific projects.
Amanda has a 20 year background of delivering front office sales and business development services in tier one investment banks, leading technology consultancies and financial software providers. Amanda was part of the market leading Institutional Fund FX Sales and Trading team at Citigroup for 12 years, advising and trading on all foreign exchange products to the top Global Investment Managers. Prior to this she spent 8 years at Barclays in Corporate FX sales & trading covering the treasury teams of the top 100 multi-national corporations across Europe. Latterly she has provided sales and business development strategy services for the leading Front Office and Operational Trading Technology consultancies of Capco, Catalyst and Etrading Software ltd as well as delivering enterprise risk software solutions to senior leaders across the financial sector. Amanda has also championed, promoted and sold development programmes for ‘Women in Financial Markets’ and was a founding candidate for the ‘retaining talented women’ market initiative. Amanda has been working with SMA for over two years and has provided excellent Inside Sales services to a regtech firm as well as a leading payments provider.
Catherine has 25 years experience spanning a wide range of roles within the financial services industry across Retail Banking, Asset Management, Investment Banking and Agency Broking. Every role has been customer facing requiring superior communication skills. Catherine spent 11 years as part of the Institutional Fixed Income Sales team at Barclays Investment Bank with a client base of Tier 1 Pension Funds and Asset Managers. This was an advisory role selling corporate bonds, structured products and derivatives in both the primary and secondary bond market. Prior to Barclays, she was at Hermes Investment Management for 7 years working within their Treasury Operations & Treasury Front Office, before being promoted to a Portfolio Manager of their Index Linked and Corporate Bond Fund. For the last 8 years she has been supporting Sales & Marketing teams for Technology Vendors & Consultants promoting brand awareness, assisting with their ‘go to market’ strategy and generating a sales pipeline.
Mary is a marketing/event professional gained from over 15 years in the City with Professional Services - Linklaters, Investment Banking- Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs and Financial Software with Thomas Financial Services and a further 15 years working as an independent consultant. Mary combined both her Marketing knowledge and Inside Sales when she moved into working for financial software providers and broadened her knowledge within EMEA & North America to include STP, Institutional Proxy Voting, Operational & Market Risk, Collateral Management & Clearing Processes, Payment Systems, and the Post Trade environment within Asset Managers, Investment Banks & Hedge Funds. Prior to join SMA in 2017, Mary has spent the last 7 years working for some of the leading FinTech vendors supporting both their marketing strategy and developing a future sustainable pipeline for the sales team through Inside Sales.
A city professional; with over 12 years of asset management operations experience including people and project management gained at Goldman Sachs and Fidelity International. Currently using the broad range of skills developed within the Financial Services industry to support the Inside sales process for software companies and consultancies targeting the Financial Services sector and confident in developing relationships at any level including C level. Extremely successful at getting meetings scheduled for SMA clients, Mira is joined SMA 4 years ago and is multi-lingual with vast experience of calling into UK & Ireland, Germany, Western and Eastern Europe and is an expert CRM user (Salesforce, Sugar, Hubspot and Insightly).
Joan brings over 15 years experience within the Private Banking Sector, supporting Advisory and Family Wealth relationships in Tier 1 banking organisations. She managed the service delivery teams that interfaced with the client’s operational staff as well as their intermediaries. Joan was also a member of the relationship management, business development and business technology interface teams. Joan participated in new business proposals and meetings while also providing support and product specialization for current clients. She worked closely with the technology staff to create new client interfaces for cash and trade settlement and participated in UAT for internal systems and applications. Joan has been working for over five years supporting clients with their Inside Sales building a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
